When the discussion about vaccines comes up among those with older children, the comment is often something like, “I don’t know why there is so much fuss about vaccines. I don’t remember my kids having that many shots.”

And they are correct. In 1985, there were only a few doses of three vaccines. Today, there are multiple doses of up to 16 vaccines. To see the escalation of the schedules from 1985 to today’s heavy schedule is sobering. We will also review the “catch up” schedules for both children and adults. The course will carefully examine this expansion and will briefly discuss: who pays for all these vaccines?

Closing out the module, we will explore CoCASA, the free, downloadable software developed for and provided for physicians. CoCASA – which stands for Comprehensive, Clinic Assessment Software Application can generate complete reports for all doses and can identify if any doses of the currently recommended 16 vaccines are missing. This is a government program, built with your tax dollars, to track you and your vaccination status.

The good news is there is a way to opt out of the IIS tracking system. The information will show you the steps to follow to opt out. [1 Video, Length 41 minutes, Downloadable Material]
